Reorders aren't a blind copy: every part is re-quoted at current pricing and re-checked against current manufacturability rules (bend limits, hole-to-bend clearance, hardware and finish availability). Any price changes are shown old → new before checkout, and items with new manufacturability issues are flagged with an explanation and a link to adjust the part in the quote builder. ### Order Amendments: Adding More Parts to an Existing Order Guide: https://www.rmfg.com/docs/order-amendments Sign in with the account associated with the order and open its detail page at https://www.rmfg.com/order/{id} (find it through /orders). Open the Order Amendment workflow using the button currently labeled **Revise parts**. To add more units of a part already on the order, select that part or assembly, choose **Change quantity/material**, enter the new total quantity (5 existing + 2 additional = 7), and **Save configuration**. Quantity, material, thickness, finish, and operation changes reuse the existing STEP geometry. Choose **Review complete revision**, review the credit, final price including applicable tax, and revised shipping/delivery dates, then approve and pay any amount due. Saving a configuration or creating the quote alone does not apply it. Check the original order's active items and amendment history afterward. The current amendment flow does not append an unrelated new part. **Upload new STEP** replaces the selected part or entire assembly; it does not preserve the original as another active item. For a separate new part that must join the same order, contact support@rmfg.com with the order ID and requested addition to check feasibility. Do not instruct customers to use replacement as an add-only action. Eligibility: an account must have access to the order. Cancelled/refunded orders and shipped, delivered, refunded, or superseded items cannot be revised online. An assembly revision includes the entire assembly. Finish or cancel an existing amendment before starting another. A submitted change pending factory review cannot be edited during that review. Missing reusable shipping addresses require RMFG assistance. Production: before the selected items enter production, proceed directly to review/payment. After production starts, **Submit complete design change** sends the configuration, revision note, and price for factory approval. Pending or declined changes cannot be paid or applied; approval is not guaranteed. Production starting while a revision is prepared can also require review before completion. Payment: the original value of revised items is credited toward their replacements. Pay any final amount due; zero-due amendments still require approval. A lower-priced revision shows the refund due, processed after acceptance. Timing: request changes early; there is no guaranteed number of hours after checkout in which amendments remain available. If calibration is pending, it estimates the closest available shop die to the standard 8×-thickness opening and identifies the estimate in the result. The quote tool greys out options that don't fit. - Bend clearance: the countersink's outer lip must sit at least 2 × thickness + bend radius from any bend line. Since the lip extends (OD − hole Ø) / 2 past the hole edge, larger countersinks near a bend are blocked even when the underlying hole is fine. The quote tool greys those options out with the reason on hover. - Changing material or thickness after configuring re-validates your countersinks: manually-selected ones that no longer fit the new sheet are removed automatically (with a notification listing what was removed). Countersinks detected in your CAD file are never auto-removed. - Order blocking: designs with a hole, or a CAD-detected countersink lip, closer than 2 × thickness + bend radius to a bend line cannot be ordered with that material — the quote shows the specific violation and the order is blocked until the design is revised or a material with a smaller deformation zone (thinner sheet / smaller bend radius) is selected. The 3D viewer highlights the affected holes in red: circular holes get a ring marker plus a translucent red fill, and non-circular cutouts (slots) are shown as a red prism of their actual shape.
