PEM (Penn Engineering & Manufacturing) hardware are press-fit fasteners that get permanently installed into sheet metal. We install PEM hardware directly into your parts during manufacturing, providing high-strength threaded fastening points without welding.

Design Guidelines
Hole Placement
- Maintain minimum distance from hole center to sheet edge (varies by stud size)
- Allow clearance between adjacent studs for press tooling
- Holes should be perpendicular to the sheet surface
Important Considerations
- Sheet thickness must meet minimum requirements for chosen stud
- We automatically size holes for optimal press-fit - your hole diameter will be adjusted if needed
- Studs install from one side only - consider accessibility in your design
- After bending, ensure stud locations remain accessible for installation
