How to apply for tax-exempt status on your RMFG orders
Overview
If your organization is tax-exempt, you can upload your tax exemption certificate to have sales tax removed from your orders. Once approved, all future orders will automatically be tax-free.
Requirements
To qualify for tax exemption, you must provide a valid tax exemption certificate. Accepted documents include:
- State sales tax exemption certificate
- Resale certificate
- 501(c)(3) determination letter (for nonprofits)
- Government exemption documentation
How to Apply
- Sign in to your RMFG account
- Go to your Account Settings
- Find the Tax Exemption section
- Upload your tax exemption certificate (PDF, JPG, PNG, or WebP format, max 10MB)
- Wait for approval (typically within 1-2 business days)
After Approval
Once your certificate is approved, you'll see a green "Approved" badge in your account settings. From that point forward, sales tax will not be charged on any of your orders.
